About this event

We will discover how enslaved people in MA used religious spaces and practices and government institutions to protect their autonomy and community.


You will hear stories of resistance from Phillis Wheatley (pictured above) as well as Scorpio Gunney, Zipporah Potter and Belinda Sutton.
