About this event
Join us for our 2nd get together with our new SIG (special interest group) group called “The PodSquad”!
Marypat E. will host our virtual event on Monday, March 10th from 7:00-8:00 pm cst (via zoom). Our goal is to host a monthly event and alternate hosts, topics as well as meet via zoom and (once the weather improves)in person meetings.
Please Listen to the podcast here or Read the podcast transcript here in advance of our meeting.
Brene is talking to clinical psychologist and author Dr. Edith Eger about her books, The Choice and The Gift. Dr. Eger is a Holocaust survivor who has dedicated her career to helping us understand trauma, anger, resilience, and the power of choosing how we see ourselves and how we resist the labels that people put on us.
Dr. Edith Eger is a sought-after clinical psychologist and lecturer, helping individuals discard their limitations, discover their powers of self-renewal, and achieve things they previously thought unattainable. Using her own past as a Holocaust survivor and thriver as a powerful analogy, she inspires people to tap their full potential and shape their very best destinies. Her first book, The Choice, became a New York Times bestseller, beloved by Oprah and thousands of readers. It details her experience as a Holocaust survivor and invites readers to join her in moving from recovery to discovery and beyond. In her most recently released book, The Gift: 12 Lessons to Save Your Life, she offers a hands-on, practical guide that encourages readers to change the thoughts and behaviors that may be keeping them imprisoned in the past.
WHERE: virtual via zoom. A link will be sent to all who register.
