This lecture will delve into the powerful impact of daily habits on long-term health, focusing on reducing the risk of chronic diseases. Dr. Kathryn Hall, MD DipABLM, will present evidence-based strategies to optimize metabolic, cardiovascular, and mental well-being through intentional lifestyle adjustments. Attendees will gain practical insights into habits that promote longevity and overall quality of life.
The session will provide a comprehensive overview of the six essential pillars of Lifestyle Medicine: Nutrition, Physical Activity, Sleep, Avoidance of Risky Substances, Social Connection, and Stress Management. She will particularly focus on three of these pillars: the benefits of a whole food plant-predominant diet, evidence-based recommendations for physical activity, and strategies for achieving restorative sleep.
All registrants will be emailed a pre-program activiity. This optional assessment will help you establish a baseline for your health across the six key domains of Lifestyle Medicine. Its purpose is to encourage reflection on your current habits, so you can identify areas where you're thriving and areas where growth is possible. In addition, you will be emailed a list of post-program resources.
Dr. Kathryn Hall is a preventive medicine physician in Media, PA and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including the hospitals of the University of Pennsylvania-Penn Prebyterian and Christiana Care. She received her medical degree from Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and has been in practice for 20 years.
