About this event

Sunday, May 18, 2025, 10:00 AM

Come join us for this adventure - 57th Street Artists’ Alley!

This tour of West 57th Street focuses on the artistic legacy of 57th street, featuring such institutions Carnegie Hall, the American Fine Arts Society Building, and the Louis H Chalif School of Dance.

We will explore why such celebrated architects as Henry Hardenbergh and Cass Gilbert were drawn to 57th Street, discover why luxury apartments appeared on 57th Street long before the current super-talls, and see where the arts are still flourishing on 57th Street.

This tour will begin in the Public Space Plaza across the street from the Art Students League at 215 West 57th Street and ends in front of the Directors Guild of America Theater at 110 West 57th St.

Join Us For Lunch
For those who want to join us, we will be having brunch afterwards at Paris Bar (120 W 57th St, New York, NY 10019). Cost not included. (Please bring cash for a pay on your own lunch)

NOTE: Walking Tours are rain or shine. Please wear comfortable shoes, bring water and an umbrella, if there is a chance of rain.
