During the 90-minute tour, our tour guide will introduce you to the resident sheep, goats, cows, pigs, mini horses, chickens, and turkeys. The guide will share the animals’ stories of rescue and we will learn more about the farmed animals and the challenges they face.
Preparing for Your Visit
Since you will be interacting with the animals in their pastures, wear closed-toe shoes you don’t mind getting dirty and washable materials with no dangling items, like scarves or long necklaces. Feel free to take pictures, but please do not bring any food or yummy-smelling items on your body or in your bag as the animals love to eat and some are on special diets.
Arriving at the Sanctuary
After turning on Tulip Lane, you will go through a residential area. Take a slight left at the fork to the end of the road. When you arrive, park in the spaces provided or along the side of the road next to the pastures, and walk towards the gift shop, where you will see our tour guide. Please do not open the gate to the pasture without a tour guide present.
Sign the Waiver
As a safety precaution, everyone in the group will need to sign the waiver. Your registration fee will be a donation to Rosie’s, but please also consider an additional donation after our tour. Rosie’s operates on a shoestring budget with regular monthly expenses to feed, improve the facilities, and provide medical care (sometimes even surgery) for the animals. Any size donation will be appreciated and used wisely.
Lunch After Our Visit
After the tour, we will have a late lunch at St Veg at 14929 Shady Grove Rd. in Fallsgrove Shopping Center.
Refunds and Cancellations
We are not able to offer refunds to those who cancel their registrations.
