Historic Fair Hill, a Women's Connections community partner, operates libraries in four elementary schools in the Fairhill neighorhood in North Philadelphia. Are you interested in volunteering as a Reading Buddy to a K-4 student or as a library assistant with one of the schools supported by Historic Fair Hill but don't have the necessary background checks?

Come to our Completing Your Clearances Workshop on Monday, September 8th from 12:30-3:00pm, where you will hear from Kerry Roeder, Historic Fair Hill Executive Director and Martina Barbour, the Literacy Director about volunteer opportunities and the required clearances and will lead us in applying for them. Bring your laptops! This is a hands-on workshop! There may be a few things to complete afterwards, but you will be on your way to volunteering at the schools this fall.

Note: These are the same clearances required by other child serving organizations in Philadelphia, and they are valid for five years, so you will be able to use your clearances to volunteer at other organizations now or in the future.
