The Women Of Impact Special Interest Group develops and promotes volunteer opportunities that allow our members to do community service together. In addition, our Peer Groups and individual members often choose to participate in additional volunteer opportunities at some of the following organizations.


Center for Hope & Safety

Center for Hope & Safety is a non-profit agency that believes  everyone has the right to be safe, empowered and free from violence and the threat of violence. Dedicated to helping victims of domestic violence and their children, the center offers shelter, counseling, legal and other services for free. Their 24 hour hotline for anyone facing domestic violence is 201-944-9600. 

In 2022, the TTN- NNJ chapter worked with Center for Hope & Safety to present an educational webinar on domestic violence. You can watch this webinar at: TTN-NNJ Domestic Violence Webinar


Community FoodBank of New Jersey

The Community FoodBank of NJ (CFBNJ), a member of Feeding America®, is the leading anti-hunger and anti-poverty organization in the state. What started as a modest enterprise in downtown Newark has grown to two warehouse facilities in Hillside and Egg Harbor Township, the combined size of five football fields. These locations serve area programs and community partners – over 800 in 15 of 21 New Jersey counties.

Our mission is to provide care and support for people who are struggling with poverty, hunger, homelessness, and addiction.
To that end, Eva's Village provides a recovery-oriented community of supportive services which include food, shelter, addiction and mental health treatment, childcare, job training, medical and dental care, and housing. Through 36 years of service in the Paterson community, Eva’s has established a unique record in helping individuals struggling with poverty, addiction, and mental illness.

Jersey Cares, a nonprofit organization, established in 1993, recruits and engages volunteers in rewarding, effective efforts that address community-identified needs. We partner with local nonprofits to identify needs and implement volunteer projects to meet these needs.


Bergen Volunteer Center


The Volunteer Center has been affecting the lives of Bergen County residents for nearly 50 years. Since the early 1970s, our programs and services have provided a means for safer environments, self-sufficiency and brighter futures. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s we supported and developed programs that provided low-income families with more opportunities, while giving service-minded individuals a chance to make a difference.
